The Gloucestershire Cheese Roll just finished another year (On May 30th 2016), of cheese rolling madness, this year only with a couple broken bones but mostly smiling faces.  This free event sees contestants flip, nosedive, and cartwheel down a grassy cliff aka Coopers Hill in search of cheesy glory.
The winner receives free cheese from Smarts Farm for life, and more importantly international notoriety as the “Quickest, Cliff, Cheese Tumbler” =)
There are also races for children, however they race up the hill, not down, for safety’s sake.
